Simon Schäfer is an interdisciplinary working artist living in Leipzig, Germany. His practice covers a wide range of expressions from objects and installations, music, performance, video, immersive experiences and theatre. His performative symbiotic noise-parasite „Der Warst“ uses his colourful homebuilt laboratory of telephones and stuff [Warstware]to create intense improvised live performances with his very own flavour of pretty extreme music somewhere between Sound Art and Club Culture. When necessary, he adds a visual layer, creating live glitchscapes video with circuit bent video hardware. This time he hacked a Playstation 2 and plays a live set and give some insides in his work in an interview.
